The Bible, Science and Evolution |
| |
|
This course is aimed at Christians who are troubled by |
| |
|
the issue of conflict between the bible and Christian |
| |
|
belief verses science and its conclusions. We |
| |
|
purposefully seek an understanding of the issues that |
| |
|
honour the inspired scriptures and assigns a legitmate, |
| |
|
God-given place to science. |

The Belhar Confession |
| |
|
The Belhar Confession (1982) became one of the |
| |
|
"Standards of Unity" for the Uniting Reformed Churches |
| |
|
in South Africa. Synod 2012 will be asked to make a |
| |
|
possible historic decision regarding this confession - |
| |
|
should the Belhar be adopted to become a fourth Form |
| |
|
of Unity? CRC church's have been asked to offer their |
| |
|
input and responses. Key themes addressed are the |
| |
|
unity of the church; reconciliation and the justice God |
| |
|
desires relating to racial reconciliation. |

Are you new to Christianity? Would you like to explore |

what it's all about? Are you familiar with Christianity, but |
| |
|
wouldn't mind a refresher course in the basics? |
| |

Join us for 14 sessions spread over two semesters. |

The Passion of Guido |

For Youth (grades 9-12): we will finish off our study of the |
| |
|
Belgic Confession this semesterand begin to look at how |
| |
|
God wants us to live by studying the 10 Commandments. |
| |
